Hi, I’m Cindi. My health and wellness journey began over 25 years ago, after having gestational diabetes with both my pregnancies. It continued as my kids were growing up, when I realized how unhealthy the food they really liked was. I started making my own condiments (like the ketchup my kids lived on) because they are full of hidden sugars and other unhealthy ingredients. That slowly evolved into cooking everything we ate from scratch, where I was able to replace unhealthy ingredients with healthier alternatives.
In 2013, I earned my Master’s degree in Environmental Studies where I studied food safety and how the US food system really works. This just fueled my fire to learn more about healthy nutrition, and I have been down that rabbit hole ever since. After my husband was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2017, I became a certified health & life coach, and added holistic nutrition in 2019.
Nutrition is my passion, and I knew I had an obligation to share this with everyone. I am 100% introverted, but I can’t stop talking about nutrition! As a former teacher, I just love teaching others. I started my own business called Activated Wellness so I could help you create sustainable, healthy habits to activate your health.
